Traveller's bowcamp

Auchindrain has contructed a Gypsy-Traveller bowcamp.

They started with a bundle of hazel sticks, rags torn into strips, a canvas sheet, and some stones. If you want to know how it all goes together you'll have to come and see.

The bowcamp represents a technique of building that is as old as mankind, but which remained in everyday use amongst some Traveller families until the late 20th century. This isn't just living history, it's living prehistory!
