Doors Open Day | Headframe Tours

Climb the Head Frame, the huge pithead structure which houses the mining wheel, offering magnificent views of Midlothian and beyond.

Sturdy shoes, jackets and a good head for heights are essential! Hard hats will be provided.

Not suitable for children or the elderly.

Whilst these tours are free of charge, access to the museums general tours and exhibition is still chargeable on the day.

HEAD FRAME TOURS WILL RUN AT 10.30, 11.30. 13.00 AND 14.00. PLEASE ARRIVE 15 MINUTES BEFORE TO REGISTER AND RECEIVED YOUR SAFETY BRIEF.
