As the best-preserved and most complete example of a farming township, the buildings that make up Auchindrain are a Nationally Recognised Collection. The site is also Category A listed, and a Conservation Area.

Visitor Centre, Shop and Coffee Shop
A visit to the township may be a trip back in time, but our Visitor Centre, shop and coffee shop contain comforts of the 21st century. Local produce can be found in both the shop and the coffee shop. Hot and cold drinks, biscuits and snacks are all available in our coffee shop. There are picnic tables for those bringing packed lunches.
We welcome school groups, and can provide dedicated space and activities to support their learning.
