- Title
American Style Bomb Tail Fin
- Description
Bomb fins like these were made of sheet metal and marked with a coloured stripe denoting the type of bomb. The fin stabilised the flight of the bomb and made sure the correct end hit the ground first. Although we don’t know the origins of this one, this deadly design was used ubiquitously throughout WW2.
